Before the video age set in, the makers of pornographic films were a bit more adventurous. The genre conventions were less established and a few things were tried out one would rarely ever see in more recent products.
To begin with, this piece has a plot. Womanising Italian lingerie entrepreneur Ricardo Bertini tries to launch his newest collection in France, and – as you do – bed the local talent along the way. Problem is: his pretty new secretary Lisa won’t play ball; partly because of his womanising, and partly because she rather plays doll, especially with her girlfriend Minouche. Then there is a plot twist as Ricardo gets kidnapped by the local brainless criminals – a nice opportunity for the director to fit some bondage scenes in; poor Ricardo suffers some abuse many men would pay good money for. Ricardo cannot pay the ransom, as he’s broke, but Lisa (who comes from a wealthy family) bails him out and eventually true love prevails. Aaah.
Astonishingly, given that this is hardcore porn, the leads never have sex with each other. They simply get married at the end. Such an old-fashioned romantic resolution is extremely rare in this genre.

How to run a regular Bavarian hotel, of which there are so many more in Bavaria? Niki Moser (Wolf Goldan) is faced to this problem, and wants to make it a sports hotel with all kind of sport and gymnastic equipment. That costs a lot, but fortunately the mayor (Josef Moosholzer) is willing to help: he will lend him the money under one condition: that Niki will marry his daughter Marianne (a daughter from a relation he had with a woman in Africa). Niki likes Marianne (Scarlett Gunden) and she likes him, but both of them don’t want a marriage. Together with his friend Tony Niki is trying to mortgage the hotel and pay back the mayor, so he will be rid of this marriage contract. However, the bank is not willing to give him a mortgage. Then they ask the ministry to help them with government allowances to help tourism flourish. They seem to have success: a high civil servant is coming over to look around and then decide whether the allowance will be granted. When the civil servant Hugo Wiesinger (Herlin) arrives, he is in the company of an attractive young woman, his secret girlfriend, who accompanies him on this “mission”. His wife, of course, is ignorant about this, but a jealous secretary tells her the secret. So she is coming over too to see if her husband is really cheating on her. Niki is busy getting guests into his hotel because all rooms have to be booked with guests when the man from the ministry is doing his survey. He only has two guests, a newly married couple, of which the husband is a homosexual who is not very interested in making love with his bride, much to her disappointment. And then: five girls arrive on a holiday (the Swedish girls to whom the title is referring) and of course they get rooms for free if they want to act as real hotel guests. Together with young men of the local brass band who are recruited to act as their “husbands”. Of course they are willing to play that role, in every possible way…. One of the girls meets with the gay bridegroom, who, to her great surprise, is her long lost uncle. When the civil servant comes with the girlfriend in a white sports car, they get out in the meadow for a picnic. In the same time two lunatics escape from the nearby asylum……..The young son of the mayor is secretly peeping in here and there and gives his remarks to the viewer during the movie, and plays a trick on his father now and then. And there is a funny scene with the civil servant and a local hairdresser, who has trouble with his wife about rehearsing a stage play in which she has the role of a woman who meets her lover. Who will play that lover? Would that be a role for a civil servant?

Private nurse Ange (the stunningly beautiful Agnès Lemercier, better known under her silly alias “Jenny Feeling”) seems to make a nice living from killing off old geezers, make that abundantly wealthy old geezers, at the request of their invariably much younger second or third wives. Following her latest ‘success’, she’s off to the French countryside to care for crusty ailing millionaire Gilbert Servien who makes life miserable for all around him, none more than his nympho wife Carole (impressively essayed by hauntingly sad-eyed Marie-Dominique Cabanne, best remembered as one of Claude Bernard-Aubert’s VEUVES EN CHALEUR) and his estranged bisexual son (underrated Joël Charvier in a seething performance). While Ange gradually smothers the old man with kindness, taking time off to seduce each family member separately in a series of creative encounters, his nearest and dearest barely bother to conceal their outright hatred for their pater familias as well as each other.

Plot:Poor little rich American girl Nancy Chesterfield (played by the very Teutonic Gina Janssen from Jess Franco’s SADOMANIA and Werner Hedmann’s sexy spy spoof AGENT 69 JENSEN – I SKYTTENS TEGN) is having far too much fun with the local male populace on her art school trip to Greece as far as unseen dear old dad’s concerned, who wants her back pronto so he can marry her off to a business associate. To this effect, he has sent hunky private dick (he looks like a Marlboro advert sprung to life) Fred Nichols, played by the Numero Uno Greek stud at the time Giorgios Stratigakis (star of Nikos Milas’ ROXANI, I ODEYSSEIA TOU SEX a/k/a EMMANUELLE GOES Greek !), to check up on her and sisters in sin Liz (Helga Wild, one of Jürgen Enz’s SCHOOLGIRLS) and Peggy (adorable Siegrun Thiel, an all time fan favorite since Heiko Hagemann’s LAURA’S GELÜSTE) who seem to spend most of their time making out on a luxury yacht just off the coast. Obviously, the girls don’t want their wings clipped and are willing to do whatever it takes to either fool the detective or make him come around to their way of, er, thinking. Help comes from friendly innkeeper Melina (fiery Maria Domingues from Johnny Wyder’s EIN GUTER HAHN WIRD SELTEN FETT), forever fighting off the unwanted attention of man about the house Zorbas, doing her bit to divert attention from the girls’ wrongdoings. Things take a decidedly Sauerkraut sex farce turn when Nancy’s very zaftig mama (Margarethe Kuske, also in Franz Gottlieb’s HURRA ! DIE SCHWEDINNEN SIND DA) shows up at the inn to see for herself what her offspring has been getting up to. A tad predictably (but no adult comedy ever really suffered from being so), Nancy and Nichols fall in love – even though she intends to blackmail him at one stage, leading to further complications – and all’s well that ends well.
